Anna & Jacob are so excited to announce the expected arrival of a baby (who we have lovingly named “future child”) in early May 2024!
If you would like to help us welcome baby, our registry is linked below. We have also put together a Baby Bookie to bet on future child’s first statistics — it’s a $10 buy in, 50/50 raffle style.
We’re incredibly thankful for the thoughtful support from our family & friends along the way. As we enter this next chapter in our lives, we are so excited to share it with you! Keep scrolling to read more details about baby and learn more about celebrations to come!
FAQ
Yay, baby! When are you due?
Anna will be 40 weeks on May 2, which means baby will likely arrive sometime between mid-April and mid-May. If you would like to place a bet on baby’s arrival via our Baby Bookie, click here! A cash prize will be split between the winner and a TBD charitable cause. #taurusbaby
Is it a boy or a girl?
We are choosing not to share at this time. It’s a long-held Jewish tradition and superstition to not share sensitive details like the sex and a potential name until after a hopefully easy, smooth, and successful arrival!
How can we support you?
It’s already so kind of you to be thinking of us! We are incredibly fortunate to already feel mentally and financially supported for future child, and to have such great family and friends in our corner. If you’d like to support us beyond this:
Where can we place bets?
We’ve set up a $10 per entry 50/50 pool on the BabyBookie website. You can guess the arrival date, arrival time, sex, height, and weight. Proceeds will be shared among winner(s) and a TBD charitable cause.
I’d love to meet baby once they arrive! How can I do that?
We are so excited for our family and friends to meet baby! Shortly after baby is born, we will be hosting a Jewish baby naming ceremony for our close family and friends in Memphis by invitation only. By nature, these ceremonies are planned with short notice, and we completely understand that some folks may not be able to make it.
We plan to bring baby to visit our hometowns of Louisville and Akron sometime later in the calendar year for a wider group of family and friends to meet them. Stay tuned!
How do you expect Gail & Shirah to react?
As many know, we have a dog, Gail, and cat, Shirah. Gail has been great around kids in many interactions to date. She’ll be a trooper, but may spend a bit more time at doggy daycare along the while. Shirah is the wild card, as always. We expect them both to need lots of adjustment to their new reality. Send them good vibes.
Thank you!
Anna + Jacob (+future child!)
